Eighteen RU Gymnasts Named to All-EAGL Academic Team

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Eighteen members of the Rutgers gymnastics team have been named to the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) All-Academic Team, the league office has announced.
The 18 Scarlet Knights were among 88 student-athletes honored. Leading the list of recipients for Rutgers were juniors Janice Blackstone (Kensington, MD), Tracy Heckler (Laurel Springs, NJ), Jennifer Miksan (Carol Stream, IL), Sveta Shterenberg (Sharon, MA) and Stephanie Zick (Pittsburgh, PA), who received EAGL all-academic honors for the third time in their careers.
The 18 Rutgers selections were the most for any of the eight EAGL schools.
The Scarlet Knights will finish the regular season with a home tri-meet, hosting North Carolina and Ursinus Saturday, March 13, at 1:00 p.m. Rutgers will honor its seniors prior to the meet at the Livingston Gym.
