Pannick Guides RU Gymnastics to Third Place Finish

TOWSON, MD – The Rutgers University gymnastics team (14-8, 2-6 EAGL) scored 192.700 points to finish third at the Towson quad meet on Saturday, March 12.
Towson took first place with 193.175 points, followed by Maryland in second (192.850), Rutgers in third and Pittsburgh in fourth (191.225).
Freshman Stephanie Pannick (Archbald, PA) had an excellent meet, as she recorded season-highs on both the floor exercise and uneven bars. Pannick took second on the floor with a 9.850 and tied for third place on the bars, scoring a 9.775.
Senior Stephanie Zick (Pittsburgh, PA) tied for fifth place in the floor and bars, scoring a 9.750 and 9.725, respectively. Junior Gina Roselle (Tinton Falls, NJ) was RU’s top performer on the balance beam, as she finished third with a score of 9.725, followed by senior Marinelle Antonio (Mt. Laurel, NJ) in fifth with a 9.675.
The Scarlet Knights will close out the regular season against Penn State and Temple on Saturday, March 19, at 7:00 p.m., before competing at the EAGL Championships in Raleigh, NC on Friday, March 25.
