Fittery, Zick Earn All-American Honors

ITHACA, NY - The Rutgers University gymnastics team (16-9) completed competition at the 2005 USAG Collegiate National Championships on Saturday, April 16, on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
Following their performances on the first day of competition, sophomore Beth Fittery (Denver, PA) and senior Stephanie Zick (Pittsburgh, PA) were selected to participate in the individual competition, which was held today.
Fittery finished seventh on the uneven bars, while Zick took eight in both the bars and floor exercise, earning them All-American status in their respective events. Additionally, Fittery was also named an All-American in the all-around on the meet's opening day.
Head coach Chrystal Chollet-Norton also received honors, as the recipient of the 2005 USAG Collegiate National Coach of the Year Award. Chollet-Norton guided the Scarlet Knights to a 16-9 overall record and a 2-6 mark in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League, as the team qualified for the NCAA Regionals this season.
