Winston Ranked at 157 In Multiple Publications

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers freshman Scott Winston (Jackson, N.J.) has entered multiple national rankings at 157-pounds. He is ranked No. 16 by Amateur Wrestling News (AWN), No. 17 by W.I.N. Magazine and No. 22 in the latest Wrestling Report Division I National Rankings.

Winston leads the team with 13 victories, including a team-high five major decisions. In the Hoosier Duals in Bloomington, Ind., the freshman defeated a returning All-American in Indiana’s Matt Coughlin en route to a 3-0 day.

Winston and the rest of the Scarlet Knights (6-3) return to action on Saturday, Dec. 6, for their first home match of 2008. RU will host Princeton and Franklin & Marshall in an EIWA tri-meet. Rutgers will face F&M at noon and Princeton will wrestle F&M following the first match. RU will take on Princeton at 3:30 p.m.
