
Rutgers Gymnastics Announces 2010 Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women’s gymnastics program announced its 2010 schedule Monday.
RU will face several teams who competed in the NCAA Championships last season along with an always challenging slate of meets in the highly-completive East Atlantic Gymnastics League.
“We are excited about this year’s schedule,” said head women’s gymnastics coach Chrystal Chollet-Norton. “We always look to challenge our student-athletes and feel this schedule tests our program against the top competition in the region.”
The Scarlet Knights will open the season at home inside the Livingston Recreation Center on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 1:00 p.m.
Rutgers will then hit the road for four of its next five meets. The Scarlet Knights return to the site of last year’s EAGL Championships in Raleigh, N.C. where they will face NC State on Friday, Jan. 15 in an evening meet. The road swing continues in Philadelphia for a meet against Penn on Jan. 23.
A home meet against Temple on Jan. 27, precludes a pair of road meets at Maryland (Jan. 30) and Pittsburgh (Feb. 6).
RU returns to the Livingston Recreation Center Saturday, Feb. 13 for a 1:00 p.m. quad-meet with Cortland, Brockport and Ursinus.
The Scarlet Knights will travel to Kent, Ohio for a Friday tri-meet against Northern Illinois and host Kent State at 1:00 p.m.
Bridgeport, Southern Connecticut and William & Mary will visit Piscataway for a quad meet on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7:00 p.m.
Rutgers opens the month of March with a trip to Ithaca, N.Y. to face Cornell on Saturday, March 6, before closing out its home slate with a tri-meet against Towson and Yale on Saturday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m.
RU will head south to Chapel Hill, N.C. to meet North Carolina Saturday, March 20 at 1:00 p.m. to close the regular season.
The University of New Hampshire will host the 2010 EAGL Championships on Saturday, March 27.
