Rutgers Wrestling Season Ticket Sales Announced

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (October 26, 2011) - Rutgers wrestling fans have the opportunity to be part of the action this season with the announcement of season ticket sales and renewals for 2011-12 Scarlet Knight wrestling. RU supporters turned out in record numbers during the 2010-11 campaign which saw the Scarlet Knights and head coach Scott Goodale win a school-record 21 duals and attain a top 10 national ranking.
Season ticket sales are set to begin Monday, Nov. 14. Orders can be made online at ScarletKnights.com or by calling 1-866-445-GORU (4678). Scarlet Knight fans can also purchase single-match tickets beginning Monday, Nov. 21, with that date also set for the mailing of season tickets to RU wrestling fans.
Existing Rutgers wrestling season ticket holders will receive the option to renew through mail or over the phone. Renewal forms will be mailed beginning Friday, Oct. 28.
The Scarlet Knights begin the 2011-12 wrestling season on the road at the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic on Saturday, Nov. 12. Rutgers' first home dual is set for Friday, Dec. 2 against Old Dominion at 6:30 p.m. in the RAC.
RU's slate for the upcoming season includes seven home duals. Rutgers also plays host to the NWCA/Cliff Keen "Mat Mayhem" National Duals regional on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 in the RAC. Visiting schools set to compete in the regional are Cal Poly, Kent State, Michigan, Minnesota and Missouri.
Rutgers wrestling fans are encouraged to attend the Scarlet vs. Black Wrestle-Offs on Friday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. at College Ave Gym. The wrestle-offs help in determining the Scarlet Knights' starting positions on the team. The event provides fans the opportunity to see the entire squad in action prior to the beginning of the season. Admission is free.
