
Rutgers Wrestling Camps Set For July

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (July 1, 2011) -The Rutgers wrestling program will hold three camps in July.
2011 Summer Camp Dates
Technique / Training Camp: July 11-14
This camp is for the wrestler who is looking to improve by learning high level technique and new training ideas. The camp is designed to prepare each athlete for the upcoming and future seasons. Sessions will consist of high intensity drilling, detailed instruction, weight training, live wrestling, running and individualized goal setting sessions with the RU Coaching Staff along with members of the Rutgers Wrestling Team. All wrestlers will also benefit by competing in a tournament during the camp. Camp is open to wrestlers from ages 8-18. This camp is an overnight OR commuter camp.
Youth Day Camp: July 11-14
This camp is designed to provide the novice wrestler with state of the art technique. Instruction will be provided by the RU Coaching Staff along with members of the Rutgers Team. Camp will consist of instruction in proper drilling, new technique, and live wrestling. Camp will also provide an opportunity for wrestling related games and activities. Camp is open to wrestlers from ages 6-12. This is a COMMUTER only camp.
High School Team Camp: July 17-20
Wrestle a season in just 1 week. Each wrestler will have the opportunity to compete in over 20 matches against top competition from across the east coast. Team titles will be awarded in the small school and big school divisions. Camp will also have an Individual Tournament and crown a "King On the Banks" at 14 weights. Along with the competition, each camper will have the opportunity to learn technique from the RU Coaching Staff along with members of the Rutgers Wrestling Team. Don't miss this great opportunity to have your team spend a week building team chemistry while also setting team and individual goals for the upcoming season. Camp is open to wrestlers who are rising 8th-12th graders. This camp is an overnight OR commuter camp.
