PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The dual season heats up for No. 17 Rutgers wrestling Sunday at the Journeymen/Asics Northeast Duals, where the Scarlet Knights wrestle three ranked opponents in nonconference action. RU takes on No. 22 Oklahoma (11:15 a.m.), No. 13 UNC (1:15 p.m.), and No. 25 Northern Iowa (3:15 p.m.) in the event. Fans can follow all the action at the Northeast Duals at FloWrestling.com.

- The Scarlet Knights head into the weekend ranked No. 17 in the NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll, after opening the season at No. 18. Rutgers is also ranked in the Intermat Tournament Rankings at No. 24 and WIN Magazine TPI at No. 17.
- Fifteen Scarlet Knights competed last week at the Binghamton Open. Junior Scott DelVecchio (South Plainfield, N.J.), who is expected to redshirt, finished as the runner-up at 133 pounds.
- Four Scarlet Knights are ranked this week in No. 19 133-pounder Anthony Giraldo (Guttenberg, N.J.), No. 8 141-pounder Anthony Ashnault (South Plainfield, N.J.), No. 9 165-pounder Anthony Perrotti (Roseland, N.J.), and No. 9 heavyweight Billy Smith (Wantage, N.J.).
- Rutgers is 3-0 to start the year for the fourth time in head coach Scott Goodale's tenure and third consecutive year. The Scarlet Knights seek their fourth 4-0 start in the last six seasons.

Series vs. Oklahoma
Rutgers won its first dual match over Oklahoma in program history at last year's Northeast Duals. Then-junior Hayden Hrymack (Point Pleasant, N.J.) sealed the win over OU with a fall at 184 pounds to put the match out of reach. All-time, the Scarlet Knights at 1-6 against the Sooners.
Series vs. North Carolina
The Scarlet Knights are 2-1 all-time against North Carolina, last wrestling the Tar Heels on Nov. 26, 2011. RU took that match, 33-9 and has won two-straight against UNC.
Series vs. Northern Iowa
RU is 1-0 all-time against Northern Iowa. The Scarlet Knights and Panthers wrestled once on Nov. 22, 2009, a 25-10 victory for Rutgers.
Ranked Matchups
Among RU's three ranked duals this weekend are eight individual ranked matchups. All four ranked Scarlet Knights have at least one ranked match.
Ashnault is projected to wrestle No. 5 Evan Henderson (North Carolina) at 141 pounds.
Smith is slated to grapple with No. 4 Blaize Cabell (Northern Iowa) and No. 9 Ross Larson (Oklahoma) at heavyweight.
Perrotti is slated to face No. 3 Ramos (North Carolina), No. 4 Moore (Northern Iowa), and No. 11 Glass (Oklahoma) at 165 pounds.
Giraldo is projected to wrestle No. 1 Cody Brewer (Oklahoma) and No. 13 Joey Ward (North Carolina) at 133 pounds.
2014 Journeymen/Asics Northeast Duals
The Rutgers wrestling team swept the 2014 Journeymen/Asics Northeast Duals with a 20-18 win over No. 19 Oklahoma, 19-16 win vs. West Virginia, and 27-9 victory against Buffalo.
RU completed its fifth-straight trip to the Northeast Duals last season, sweeping for the first time since 2012. The Scarlet Knights are 12-2 at the event since 2010.
