Women's Cross Country Announces 2015 Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's cross country team's 2015 schedule was unveiled on Monday with the Scarlet Knights running at the Monmouth, Paul Short and Princeton Invitationals, in addition to defending its Metropolitan Championship crown.
The season gets underway on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Monmouth Invitational at Holmdel Park followed by the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh on Friday, Oct. 2.
RU will defend its Metropolitan Championship title on Friday, Oct. 9 at Van Cortland Park. In addition to capturing the team title last season at the Metropolitan Championship, rising senior Paige Senatore (Delsea, N.J.) was the individual champion. In total, the Scarlet Knights had five place in the top 10 and eight members post top 20 times in the field.
The Scarlet Knights travel to the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17 before heading to Chicago to compete at the Big Ten Championships host by Northwestern on Sunday, Nov. 1 . The championship portion of the schedule continues with the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Princeton on Friday, Nov. 13. Senatore was named all-region at last year's regional.
Other Scarlet Knights also returning to the roster including juniors Kaitlyn Bedard (Ringoes, N.J.), Nisa Cicitta (Glen Gardner, N.J.), and Sarah Robbie (Marlton, N.J.), as well as sophomores Julia DeSpirito (Medford, N.J.), Alexandra Juzwiak (North Middletown, N.J.) and Celine Mazzi (Monroeville, N.J.).
