Men’s Cross Country Competes at Big Ten Championships

LINCOLN, NEB. – Junior Cole Pschunder led Rutgers cross country at the 2018 Big Ten Championships on Sunday, Oct. 28 hosted by the University of Nebraska at Mahoney Golf Course.
The Scarlet Knights placed 12th with a point total of 365. Wisconsin won the Big Ten team title with 38 points, in front of Purdue's second place 88. Indiana was third with 108 points.
Pschunder clocked a time of 25:15.1 to lead the Scarlet Knights with a 70th place finish, pacing the Scarlet Knights for the second straight meet after a runner-up finish at the Metropolitan Championships.
Sophomore Patrick Walsh (25:31.3) and junior Andrew Comito (26:10.6) each recorded personal bests in the race. Senior Conor Murphy (26:13.9), sophomore Genaro Anzalone (26:44.6), and sophomore Billy Hill (27:30.5) also represented RU in the field.
Meanwhile, freshmen Nick Hutchison (27:00.1), Cade Hindley (27:18.8), and Will Berger (28:23.4) all made their debuts at the Championships.
A replay of Sunday's Big Ten Championships will be televised on BTN at 8 p.m. (ET) Monday.
