Walsh paces the Scarlet Knights

BRONX, N.Y. - Rutgers men's cross country competed at the Iona College Meet of Champions on Friday morning at Van Cortland Park.

Sophomore Patrick Walsh paced RU with a time of 26:45.2, shaving nearly a minute off his time from last week's outing.

Senior Conor Murphy (27.21.3) and sophomore Genaro Anzalone finished next for the Scarlet Knights (27:30.5).

Sophomore Billy Hill (28:16.6) and freshmen Will Berger (28:46.8), Cade Hindley (28:48.0), and Younass Barkouch (28:56.0) all represented RU as well.

The Scarlet Knights finished ninth in the field with an average time of 27:44.1.

UP NEXT
The Scarlet Knights break for a month before competing in the Metropolitan Championships on Friday, Oct. 12 at Van Cortlandt Park.
