
62 Scarlet Knights Student-Athletes Named to Winter All Academic Big Ten List

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Rutgers Athletics had 62 student-athletes named to the 2025-26 Winter Academic All-Big Ten list, the conference announced. Twenty-six Scarlet Knights earned repeat recognition, an indicator of sustained academic commitment across programs.
Patrick Adams (wrestling) received distinction on the conference list for carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA. Leading the way for student-athlete with multiple selections were five-time honorees Emily Leese (women's gymnastics) and Andrew Clark (wrestling). Sebastiano Nini, Joseph Olivieri and Anthony White of the wrestling program each secured their fourth career selections.
Six student-athletes earned their third Academic All-Big Ten honor: Valentina Lorente Garcia (women's gymnastics) and from the swimming/diving program Sephora Ford, Grace Hagemaster, Katherine Lang, Jillian Ruffner and Ellie Schinsky. Fifteen Scarlet Knights collected their second career recognition, including Emmanuel Ogbole (men's basketball), Kennedy Brandt (women's basketball), Olivia Dinovi, Elliot Goldsmith and Matis Rains (women's gymnastics), Megan Fox, Elysha Pribadi, Amelia Scott and Brooke Thompson (women's swim & dive), and wrestlers PJ Casale, Brandan Chletsos, Max Hermes and Hadyn Packer.
The number of Scarlet Knights honored for 2025-26 eclipsed last winter's total of 53 selections. Earlier this school year, Rutgers placed 141 student-athletes on the Fall Academic All-Big Ten team.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, be enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
