Rowing Moves To #11 In CRCA Poll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers women's rowing moved to No. 11 in the week four CRCA Pocock Collegiate Rowing Association Poll following its first race of the spring season.
Rutgers opened the 2026 season last Sunday at the Doc Hosea Invitational on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, taking on #3 Yale, #12 Syracuse and #16 Penn.
In the morning session, RU's Third Varsity 4+ A boat took first while the B boat placed second against both the Bulldogs and Orange. The A boat of Bridget Moore, Karen Kirkorian, Elizabeth Enriquez, Seher Talukdar and coxswain Ashley Lo outpaced Yale by 49.5 seconds and Syracuse by 52.5 seconds. The Varsity 8+, Second Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+, Second Varsity 4+, Third Varsity 8+ and Fourth Varsity 8+ all had runner-up performances. In its second-place performance, the Varsity 4+ with Abigail Franks, Kathryn Koleto, Jazmine Ingall, Lowri Cawdell and coxswain Elizabeth Steron were 0.5 seconds behind the first-place Yale boat and outstroked Penn by 14.2 seconds.
The Varsity 4+, Third Varsity 4 and Third Varsity 8+ all picked up victories over Syracuse in the afternoon. The Varsity 4+ of Abigail Franks, Izzy Johnson, Jazmine Ingall, Lowri Cawdell and coxswain Elizabeth Steron edged Syracuse by 7.7 seconds. The Third Varsity 4+ A boat with Bridget Moore, Karen Kirkorian, Elizabeth Enriquez, Madeline Crumley and coxswain Megan Pruitt bested the Orange 54.2 seconds. The Third Varsity 8+ lineup of Nina Rozek, Satiana Alvarez, Krissy Xavier, Fallon DeWitt, Isabel Corbett, Anna Eizhvertin, Kelsey Lavelle, Holly Stoker and coxswain Charlotte Weaver claimed first by 3.9 seconds.
Last season, Rutgers women's rowing placed eighth in its sixth-straight NCAA Championship appearance, won a program-record six medals with a program-best runner-up finish at the Big Ten Championships and captured the Island Challenge Cup at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta.
