Chin & Walker Named to Comeback Player of the Year Watch List

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – OL Dantae Chin and LB Moses Walker both represent Rutgers football on the Comeback Player of the Year watch list jointly released today by College Sports Communicators, The Associated Press and Fiesta Bowl Organization. Since 2018, the award has recognized college football student-athletes for overcoming injury, illness or other circumstances.
Rutgers opens the season Thursday, Sept. 3 hosting UMass at SHI Stadium. Season and single game tickets for all seven home games are on sale. DANTAE CHIN
Now in his fifth year in the program, Chin owns 19 games of collegiate experience with six starts on the offensive line. That includes two starts at left tackle in 2025, both wins to start the season. In 2024, the Weston, Florida, native played in all 13 games and made four starts at left guard, ranking as the No. 19 offensive guard in the Big Ten by Pro Football Focus. Chin is currently in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology after earning his undergraduate degree as a labor and employment relations major.
MOSES WALKER
Walker enters 2026 with 29 games of collegiate experience the past three seasons, making seven starts at linebacker. In last year's season-opening win over Ohio, he led the team with a career-high 13 tackles with two for loss. The Staten Island, New York, native played in 25 games the previous two seasons, including action in both the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl and Rate Bowl. Walker, who is in his fifth year at Rutgers, is currently in the Graduate School of Education after earning his undergraduate degree as a labor and employment relations major.
