2015-16 (As a senior): Notched a 22-5 record competing unattached … took seventh competing unattached at the 53rd Annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships (Dec. 29-30) … pinned No. 16 Gabe Moreno in 1:12 in the seventh-place match … finished as runner-up at the Nittany Lion Open, dropping the championship match, 8-1, to No. 1 Zain Retherford of Penn State (Dec. 6) … posted a 5-1 record on the day … went 5-0 to win the Mat Town Open title, winning three matches by bonus points (Nov. 22) … took sixth place at the Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open with a 4-1 day (Nov. 8).
2014-15 (As a junior): Received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships … posted a 1-2 mark in St. Louis in second NCAA trip (March 19-21) … went 24-9 overall … ended the season with RU’s second-best dual record at 17-3 … tied for a team-best 7-2 Big Ten dual record … had an eight-match winning streak snapped against Northwestern’s No. 3 Jason Tsirtsis, the 2014 NCAA 149-pound national champion (Feb. 8) … earned his 20th victory of the season against Ohio State’s Randall Languis (Feb. 1) … climbed to a career-best No. 17 ranking by Intermat after upsetting then-No. 17 Zack Beitz (Penn State) on Jan. 16 … swept a B1G weekend with decisions against Minnesota’s Jake Short (Jan. 11) and Illinois’ Kyle Langenderfer (Jan. 9) … trailed Short, 6-2, in the first period before coming back for the win in the third … the win over Langenderfer was the first conference dual victory of his career … notched a 2-0 day at the Third Annual “Grapple at the Garden” (Dec. 21) … recorded a 3-0 mark at the Journeymen/Asics Northeast Duals (Nov. 29) … went 4-0 at the TCNJ Open en route to his first open tournament championship (Nov. 22) … notched a 2-0 day at the Rutgers Duals with a 5-4 decision against Vinny Fava (Delaware Valley) and a fall over Allan Jordan (Centenary) in 2:28 (Nov. 2) ... named Rutgers' male Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winner for the 2014-15 academic year.
2012-13 (As a freshman): Saw extended action at 149 pounds, compiling a 16-13 overall record and a 6-7 mark in dual competitions ... posted five bonus-point victories ... defeated two NCAA qualifiers in back-to-back appearances ... first pinned Alex Hudson of Chattanooga in 2:51 on Dec. 16 before earning a 4-0 decision over Iowa State's Max Mayfield on Jan. 11 ... took fourth place at the East Stroudsburg Open.
