Michael Eichler is in his first season as an assistant coach with Rutgers women’s rowing. Eichler will be responsible for the development of walk-on athletes and assisting the varsity program.
Most recently, Eichler spent a year coaching the Princeton lightweight men as the second assistant, helping all crews medal at the Eastern Sprints Championships. Previously, he spent five years with Row New York, starting as an assistant coach before being promoted to head coach. During his tenure, he led the varsity program to its most successful results in program history.
For the past four summers prior to joining the Scarlet Knights, Eichler has coached the U.S. Junior Men’s National Team Development Squad out of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
An alumnus of Binghamton University, Eichler served as a team captain and as vice-president as a four-year member of the rowing team.
