Jordan Ozer has been a member of the Rutgers Athletic Communications office since 2014. He works as a media contact for men's basketball, men's lacrosse, field hockey and swimming and diving.
In his current role, Ozer is responsible for publicity and media relations efforts for his assigned sports, including media outreach, written and statistical game coverage, producing game notes for game broadcasters, record keeping and publication production. He also serves as the liaison to RU facilities and Varsity R, works with the Big Ten Network on digital entitlements, and travels with teams for road contests and conference media days. Ozer was the media coordinator for the 2019 Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Tournament and 2021 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournaments, hosted by Rutgers, and has assisted the Big Ten in the operation of their Men's Basketball Tournaments.
Ozer arrived “On The Banks” with a wealth of experience. Ozer joined the staff after serving as a Communications Assistant with the American Athletic Conference in 2013-14. In addition to his time at the American, the 2011 Wisconsin graduate has had stints with his alma mater and the University of Arkansas. Additionally, Ozer worked as a Communications Intern with the MLB’s Washington Nationals and the East Coast Hockey League, as well as a Communications Assistant with US Club Soccer. He also worked the 2011 NBA Draft and game days with the Washington Redskins. While at the American, the South Orange, New Jersey native was responsible for coverage of conference sports including baseball, volleyball, men’s soccer, tennis, swimming, and rowing along with assisting the league in men’s basketball and football. He was also a media volunteer at the “Sweet 16” and “Elite 8” at the 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament at Madison Square Garden.
Prior to joining The American office, Ozer was a Media Relations Assistant at Arkansas, serving as the primary media contact for women’s tennis and secondary contact for women’s basketball in addition to providing content for ArkansasRazorbacks.com. He also was involved with the Patriot League, working on the conference’s 25th Anniversary Football Commemoration efforts. While an undergraduate at Wisconsin, Ozer served as a student assistant, handling media relations efforts for the Badgers’ men’s ice hockey and men’s and women’s golf teams.
