A member of Rutgers Athletics since April 2011, Galante was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics IT - User Services in May 2022. Galante handles day-to-day help desk and technology issues throughout the department, including addressing desktop, laptop, phone system, mobile, tablet and application concerns. He also provides football and men’s and women’s basketball game day support, in addition to other live event coverage.
Named a Rutgers Athletics Employee of the Month for February, 2017, Galante previously worked at Coast Electronics, a telecommunications company based in Eatontown. He handled wiring, phone systems, computer networking and troubleshooting for medical offices, surgery centers and small companies.
Galante graduated from Bloomfield College in 2008 with a degree in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Databases. He was a three-year soccer letterwinner for the Bears as a goalkeeper.
A graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School, Galante was a four-year varsity letterwinner in soccer and three-year varsity baseball letterwinner for the Bombers. He holds school soccer records for career shutouts (21) and most shutouts in a season (9).
