Rutgers Ticket Office Sells 3,500 New Season Football Tickets

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers Ticket Office established a single-day record for football season ticket sales Monday as the office sold 3,500 new season tickets. Monday marked the first day 2007 football season tickets were on sale for new customers.
Rutgers sold out two games at Rutgers Stadium in 2006, including a school-record crowd of 44,111 at the win over then third-ranked Louisville. In all, five of the top 10 crowds in Rutgers Stadium history were recorded in 2006.
The Scarlet Knights' season average of 41,112 fans per game was the best in school history in the 41,500-seat Rutgers Stadium.
Rutgers will play eight home games in 2007, including a visit from ACC-foe Maryland along with BIG EAST rivals West Virginia, Pitt, Cincinnati and South Florida.
Tickets prices are $240 for sideline seats and $160 for end zone seating.
