Rice, Foster Earn All-America Accolades

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - For the second consecutive season, Rutgers' RB Ray Rice (New Rochelle, N.Y.) and DT Eric Foster (Homestead, Fla.) earned All-America accolades as The Sporting News named both players to its All-America Second Team. Rice was a consensus Second Team All-America in 2006 while Foster is the first defensive player for Rutgers to earn All-America honors in consecutive years since 1986.

Foster registered 62 tackles (21 solo, 41 assisted) on the year. He tied for first on the team with 13 tackles-for-loss and was second with five sacks. Foster also intercepted his first career pass and posted two forced fumbles on the season.
Both players earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors in 2007.
The Scarlet Knights return to action January 5, 2008 in the International Bowl vs. Ball State. Kickoff is set for 12 noon from the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario with national television coverage on ESPN2.
