I first got started with gymnastics when I was three years old and started competing when I was seven
What got you interested in gymnastics?
I got interested in gymnastics because of my older sister. She wanted to try it so of course I wanted to as well.
What is your favorite event and why?
My favorite event is definitely hard to chose between. I love bars because it is my favorite to learn new skills on. Plus it is the event that iI get to compete most here at Rutgers but I also love the Floor Exercise as well. It is so fun to be out there performing because you get to add personality to your routine and engage the audience.
What has been your favorite thing about the Rutgers program so far?
My favorite part of the Rutgers program is just being a part of this group of girls that are not only your teammates but your friends. You spend so much time with one another that you are able to build these unique bonds and know that you have their support no matter what.
What made you decide to come to Rutgers?
I came to Rutgers for its academic prominence and the team atmosphere. I felt the coaching staff would be able to offer me something different than most schools. They go out of their way to help you as a gymnast as well as a student and I am thankful for that.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of gymnastics?
Outside of gymnastics, I like to spend time with my family, relax at the beach, surf, and hang out with friends.
