Former Rutgers Football Letterwinner Greg Raffaelli Passes Away

Gregory Raffaelli, age 44, of Midland Park, died November 13, 2009. He grew up in Tabernacle, N.J. before moving to Midland Park in 1993. Raffaelli was a box office manager at Madison Square Garden before becoming the Director of the Box Office at the Prudential Center in Newark. Raffaelli received his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University where he played football, earned three varsity letters and met his wife Lisa.
Raffaelli enjoyed coaching his son and other children for the Midland Park Pee Wee Panthers. He was also an avid NY Giant and Yankee Fan. He is survived by his loving wife Lisa, his beloved children Lauren and Ryan, his parents Richard and Judith Raffaelli of Lewes, Del., his sister Deanna Magrane and her husband Jeff, their three children Caitlin, Andrew, and Erin of Farmingdale, N.Y.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law Jenny Tryanowski, his sister-in-law Karen Olszewski and her husband Tom, their two children Billy and Analise, and his sister-in-law Joy Tryanowski, all of Upper Saddle River.
Visiting is Thursday, November 19, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, www.vpfh.com. Memorial Service is Friday 11:00 AM at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 96 East Allendale Road, Saddle River, N.J. 07458.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Lauren and Ryan Raffaelli's education may be made to the Vanguard 529 College Savings Plan, c/o Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church 96 East Allendale Road, Saddle River, NJ 07458.
