Rowing Races to Indy For B1G Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers women's rowing is set to compete in its first Big Ten Championships this weekend in Indianapolis, Ind. The Scarlet Knights will take the water against two-time defending Big Ten and national champion and No. 1 Ohio State, No. 8 Wisconsin, No. 12 Michigan, No. 13 Indiana, Minnesota, Iowa and Michigan State.

Big Ten Championship Release: Click here Competition will take place at Eagle Creek Park for the fifth consecutive season. BTN will televise the Big Ten Rowing Championships tape delayed on Sunday, May 24, at 6 p.m. ET.
Rutgers received its final tune-up of the regular season two weeks ago at the Eastern Sprints on May 3, where the Second Varsity 8 finished fourth. The Scarlet Knights had their strongest outing of the season on Lake Quinsigamond on April 26, taking top spots in the Second Varsity 8, Second Varsity 4 and Novice 8 races against Holy Cross and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The Scarlet Knights and 20-year head coach Max Borghard finished fifth last season at the inaugural American Athletic Conference Rowing Championships in West Windsor, N.J., accumulating 101 team points.
