PRINCETON, N.J. āĀ The 2026 fall season for #11 Rutgers women's rowing came to a close on Sunday with Rutgers claiming four of the top eight spots in the Women's 8+ Second Round, including first for the Scarlet Knights A boat and second for RU's B boat, at the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie.
Additionally, the Women's 8+ Open saw Rutgers A take third.
The three-mile time trial course marked the final fall competition for the Scarlet Knights.
Rutgers A claimed the top spot in the Women's 8+ field of 13 with a time of 14:30.823 and finishing 33.098 seconds ahead of their teammates, with the Scarlet Knights' B boat clocking in at 15:03.921. Both of RU's top two boats crossed ahead of the No. 6 Princeton and Penn A entries. The Rutgers C boat took fifth in a time of 15:26.036 and rounding out the top eight was RU's D entry with a time of 15:42.358.
Earlier in the day, Rutgers opened racing in the Women's 8+ Open with a third-place finish behind No. 4 Virginia and No. 6 Princeton. Ā The Cavaliers won the field of 67 race in 13:31.211, with host No. 6 Princeton taking second in 13:36.879 and the Scarlet Knights in third in 13:58.841. RU's B boat also finished in the top eight, clocking in 14:17.789 for seventh.
The Scarlet Knights also had a pair of top-eight finishes in the Women's 4+. The Rutgers A placed sixth in 16:15.403, with RU's B boat coming in eighth in 16:23.636
Rutgers women's rowing returns in the Spring against UCF on January 16 on Lake Pickett in Bithlo, Florida and hosts Temple on the Raritan River on Ā March 13.
