Rowing Competes at Eastern Sprints

CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Rutgers women's rowing team competed at the Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges (EAWRC) Sprints Sunday afternoon in what was the final tune-up for the Scarlet Knights prior to their inaugural Big Ten Championships.

The Scarlet Knights' Second Varsity 8 posted the best finish on the day with a fourth-place result out of seven boats in the Final 2. RU clocked a time of 7:03.570 in the heat to top Massachusetts Institute of Technology (7:06.860) Buffalo (8:21.841) and Georgetown (8:22.047).
Rutgers competes in its first-ever Big Ten Conference Championships from May 16-17 in Indianapolis, Ind.
