
2017 Football Opener vs. Washington Moved to Friday Primetime

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers football will open its 2017 season with a Friday, Sept. 1 primetime game against Washington at High Point Solutions Stadium, the Big Ten Conference announced Tuesday. The contest will be televised by ESPN or FOX.
This game is part of six 2017 Friday matchups involving Big Ten programs next season as part of the league's new television agreements. It will be the second part of a home-and-home series between the Scarlet Knights and Huskies, as the teams met in Seattle to start the 2016 season.
