Men’s Golf Prepares for Schenkel Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's golf continues its spring season at the 2021 Schenkel Invitational from March 19-21 in Statesboro, Georgia. The three-round, 54-hole tournament, hosted by Georgia Southern, will be played at the Forest Heights Country Club, a par 72, 6,962-yard venue.

Four Scarlet Knights combined for six rounds of under par golf at the loaded Spartan Collegiate, held from March 8-9 in Sea Island, Georgia. Sophomore Luke Wells tied for 18th with a one-under-par 215 to close out play as the top individual finisher for Rutgers, while reigning Big Ten Player of the Year Christopher Gotterup tied for 23rd. Sophomore Xavier Marcoux, who's first-round score was disqualified after a self-reported error on his scorecard, finished with a seven-under-par 209 (73-68-68), which would have tied him for second at the tournament that featured seven Big Ten Conference programs.
