
Cruickshank, Korsak & Young Named All-ECAC

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – RS Aron Cruickshank, P Adam Korsak and DB Avery Young represent Rutgers football on the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) team released this week. The listing recognizes the top players in the East.

ARON CRUICKSHANK
Often kicked away from by opponents, Cruickshank averaged 20.6 yards on 18 kickoff returns in 2022. He ripped off a season-long 66-yard return to help set up a touchdown versus Penn State. The New York native claimed a spot as honorable mention All-Big Ten and finished his career with 4,042 all-purpose yards. That included 1,357 kickoff return yards the past three seasons to rank sixth in Rutgers history.

ADAM KORSAK
The winner of the Ray Guy Award as the nation's best punter, Korsak led the country with 32 punts downed inside the 20 and -11 return yards against, ranking third in net punt average (43.57). He is the NCAA all-time leader in punting attempts (349) and yardage (15,318), a three-time captain for the Scarlet Knights and tied for the program record with 58 games played. Korsak was selected Second Team All-Big Ten in the coaches' vote. In addition, the Aussie was previously named First Team All-America by The Sporting News.

AVERY YOUNG
Playing in 57 games for the Scarlet Knights with 54 starts, the most on offense or defense in program history, Young finishes his career with 326 tackles, 10th-most in the RU record book. He earned honorable mention twice, including this past season after registering 84 tackles at safety. The team captain added an interception, four pass breakups and a forced fumble. This is the second consecutive season Young earns All-ECAC honors.
