PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 13 Rutgers wrestling (9-1, 2-0) brings its seven-match win streak on the road with duals at RV Michigan State (7-1, 0-1) on Friday in East Lansing and at No. 11 Michigan (4-1, 2-0) on Sunday in Ann Arbor.

Friday's match against the Spartans is set for a 6:30 p.m. start on Big Ten Plus. Sunday's match with the Wolverines will also stream on Big Ten Plus and begin at 1 p.m. A win over MSU on Friday would move the Scarlet Knights to 3-0 in Big Ten Conference action for the first time since joining the league during the 2014-15 season.

Last Time Out

RU opened its Big Ten schedule with dominant victories over No. 21 Indiana and Purdue last weekend. Rutgers worked a 7-3 match split with five wins via bonus in its 30-11 win over the Hoosiers before it followed with a 26-13 win over the Boilermakers on Sunday in West Lafayette.
In front of 3,145 fans at Jersey Mike's Arena last Friday night, No. 8 Dylan Shawver (133), No. 13 Dean Peterson (125), No. 21 Brian Soldano (184), No. 27 Jackson Turley (174) and Al DeSantis (157) all secured bonus points to fuel Rutgers to its victory over IU. Turley's tech fall came against No. 9 Donnell Washington, who entered the dual with an undefeated record.
The Scarlet Knights won six individual matchups at Purdue, which included a fall from Turley and tech falls from Shawver and No. 7 John Poznanski (197).

What to Know

With his 2-0 weekend, Jackson Turley (174) was named Big Ten Co-Wrestler of the Week. It is the first weekly laurel for Turley and the third for Rutgers this campaign – setting a program record for most weekly Big Ten awards in a single season.
Rutgers moved up one spot to No. 13 in this week's NWCA Coaches Poll. The Scarlet Knights are one of eight Big Ten programs ranked this week, which includes No. 1 Penn State, No. 3 Iowa, No. 6 Nebraska, No. 7 Ohio State, No. 9 Minnesota, No. 11 Michigan and No. 22 Wisconsin.
Four Scarlet Knights – No. 7 Yaraslau Slavikouski (HWT), No. 8 Dylan Shawver (133), No. 9 John Poznanski (197), and No. 11 Mitch Moore (141) – are ranked within the top 12 of their respective weight classes.
Moore, Poznanski and Slavikouski are all undefeated this season and are a combined 32-0 with 22 wins by bonus.
Moore, who also wrestled at Virginia Tech and Oklahoma, needs 10 wins to secure 100 for his collegiate career.
A win over Michigan State on Friday would move Rutgers to 3-0 in the Big Ten, something the Scarlet Knights have never accomplished since joining the league in 2014-15. A win Sunday over Michigan would be the first for Rutgers in program history.

Scouting Michigan State & Series History

The Spartans enter Friday with a 7-1 record with a loss to Michigan, 29-12, last Sunday in Ann Arbor in their last time out. MSU picked up three wins against the Wolverines, which included a pin from No. 21 Chase Saldate against Zack Mattin at 157 pounds.
Michigan State features five ranked individuals, led by No. 10 Caleb Fish at 165 pounds.
The Spartans sent four wrestlers to nationals last season under head coach Roger Chandler, with Fish scoring a win over No. 4 seed Julian Ramirez from Cornell to advance to the championship quarterfinals.
Rutgers is 6-1-1 all time against Michigan State, which includes a 16-15 win against the Spartans last season in Piscataway.

All 10 starters for Michigan enter Sunday's dual ranked, which includes seven within the top 10 of their respective weight classes. Graduate transfers No. 4 Shane Griffith (174) and No. 4 Lucas Davison (HWT) are the highest-ranked individuals for UM.
Michigan finished last season with an 11-4 dual record under head coach Sean Bormet and sent nine wrestlers to nationals. Heavyweight Mason Parris won an individual national championship and was one of three All-Americans for the Wolverines in 2023 along with Will Lewan (157) and Cameron Amine (165).
Michigan leads the all-time series with Rutgers, 8-0. The Wolverines defeated the Scarlet Knights, 24-9, last season.
