Rutgers Athletics to Host Winter Village on Saturday, Dec. 20

WBB Hosts Lafayette at Noon, MBB Hosts Penn at 8 p.m.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers Athletics is excited to announce the return of The Rutgers Winter Village on Saturday, Dec. 20, in conjunction with the Rutgers women's and men's basketball doubleheader.
The Scarlet Knights women's team hosts Lafayette at 12 p.m., followed by the men's matchup against Penn at 8 p.m.
Following the conclusion of the women's game, The Rutgers Winter Village will open with an autograph session, where student-athletes and coaches will sign autographs, take photos, and engage with fans until 3 p.m. The full Winter Village experience will officially begin at 5:30 p.m. and remain open through the men's tipoff at 8 p.m.
The Rutgers Winter Village is a family-friendly pregame festival featuring a wide array of holiday-themed activities and attractions. Guests can enjoy holiday treats, special guests, the Miller Lite Beer Garden, food stations, snacks, live entertainment, cotton candy, roasted nuts, hot chocolate, and additional festive offerings. Holiday programming will include winter décor, a giant video board, face painting, a caricature artist, a magician, inflatables, and holiday characters.
Guests 21 and older will be required to present valid identification to receive a wristband for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
The full Winter Village will be located on the grass oval outside Jersey Mike's Arena and will include a heated enclosed tent as well as an open-air fenced area with high-top tables. A merchandise tent will also be available, and special performances by the Rutgers Pep Band and Spirit Teams are expected throughout the event (weather permitting).
