Sturgill Places Second on Synchronized 3M Dive at USA Diving Winter Nationals

She earns second Silver Medal of Event
MIDLAND, Texas – Scarlet Knight diver Baillee Sturgill earned a silver medal on Tuesday on the synchronized 3M dive event at the 2025 USA Diving Winter Nationals. For Sturgill, she brings home two silver medals at the event overall.
Sturgill teamed with Lily Witte out of fellow Big Ten school Indiana in the synchronized competition. The dup scored a 260.52 through prelims and quarterfinals to hold first place entering the finals. After finals, they stood at 528.12, behind the winning duo of Sophie Verzyl and Anna Kwong, who scored a 559.14.
At the USA Diving Winter Nationals, Sturgill teamed with her Scarlet Knights teammate Katerina Hoffman yesterday to place second in the synchronized platform event, earning a silver medal. She also competed on the 3M dive at the event. Hoffman also competed at the national's in the 1M and 3M events.
Sturgill won the synchronized 3M diving event at last may's Diving Nationals, also teaming with Witte.
Sturgill was previously named the Big Ten Diver of the Week earlier this year, doing so after winning the 3-Meter Dive against Princeton in November. She currently holds a spot on RU's all-time top-10 list in the 1M, 3M and platform dive.
