Rutgers Track and Field Mourns Ronnie Stanley Belin

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers track and field mourns the passing of Ronnie "Stanley" Belin, a member of the 1981 National Champion two-mile relay team.
Belin was inducted into the 2019 Rutgers Hall of Fame class along with his fellow relay teammates Brian Grimes, Walter Kirkland and James Westman. The group cemented their names in the Rutgers record books, winning the indoor title with a time of 7:30.95 to become champions and First Team All-Americans.
The group was awarded the Rutgers University Outstanding Athletic Achievement Award following the 1981 national title, the second all-time event title for the program. Belin also ran on the school record holding outdoor 4x800-meter relay team, a record that has stood the test of time since it was set on April 25, 1981.
Services for Belin are being held at Rose of Sharon Community Church in Plainfield, New Jersey.
