Farrell, Track and Field To Represent Team USA at FISU America Games

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers director of track & field and cross country Bobby Farrell was named an assistant coach for the sprints group and Team USA at the 2026 FISU America Games in Lima, Peru. In addition to serving on the staff, Farrell will lead a delegation of nine Scarlet Knights at the competition that spans from July 20 through August 1.
"I'm very honored and excited to have the opportunity to coach a USA team," said Farrell. "It's going to be a great experience being surrounded by elite coaches and athletes. I can't wait to get down to Peru and win some medals."
Farrell will be joined by Tey'ana Ames, Donavan Anderson, Charlee Crawford, Paige Floriea, Brian O'Sullivan, Kevin O'Sullivan, Sincere Robinson, Chris Serrao and Bryce Tucker.
The Scarlet Knights are coming off a season that saw a program record 28 athletes qualify for the NCAA East First Round. Rutgers advanced five to the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships in 2026, including Serrao and the O'Sullivan brothers for the indoor event and Floriea at the outdoor championships.
This marks the fourth International University Sports Federation (FISU) America Games which are held every two years. Competitors must be enrolled at, or have recently graduated from, a college or university in their home country and be a citizen of the nation they represent. The field features more than 18 countries from across North, Central and South American, and the Caribbean.
