Track and Field Qualifies Pair for NCAA Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Rutgers track and field advanced two Scarlet Knights out of the NCAA East First Round in Lexington, Kentucky with Paige Floriea competing in the long jump and Jenovia Logan in the high jump. The pair will travel to Eugene, Oregon for the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 10-13.
"We had one of the largest groups at the meet this week with 28 athletes," said Bobby Farrell, director of cross country and track & field. "It was great to travel with such a large group. I'm very proud of this team and all we accomplished this year. This was a groundbreaking year and something to build on for next year."
Rutgers will send a representative to the championships on the women's side for the fifth-straight year.
Floriea recorded a jump of 6.25m (20' 6.25") during Thursday's action to secure her spot at the national championships. She will make her second consecutive appearance Hayward Field after qualifying in the long jump for the 2025 outdoor championships, earning honorable mention All-American status for her performance.
Logan, the school record holder in the outdoor high jump, will make her first trip to the outdoor championships. She claimed a spot out of the East First Round, clearing a height of 1.79m (5' 10.5") on her final attempt.
The ESPN family of networks will provide coverage of the championships with the first day of competition airing on ESPN, while days two, three and four will broadcast on ESPN2. Select events throughout the four-day meet will stream on ESPN+.
