
The Blackout is Back: Oct. 3 vs. Indiana

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – "The Blackout is Back" for Rutgers football's Homecoming & Family Weekend matchup on Saturday, Oct. 3 against Indiana at SHI Stadium. The game is presented by RWJBarnabas Health and kicks off at 8 p.m.
Tickets are on sale at ScarletKnights.com.
Fans are encouraged to wear black and be in their seats by 7:30 p.m. to see the pregame light and fireworks spectacular. The team will bring out its black uniforms and helmets. Gear up with special Blackout merchandise available at the Rutgers Team Shop. Students in attendance will receive a Blackout t-shirt, while supplies last.
The Rutgers Boardwalk, presented by Visit New Jersey, opens at 4 p.m., featuring free rides and games, activities, live entertainment and fun for the whole family.
Stay tuned for special recognitions honoring the 2026 Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame class and the 1976 football team. The 11-0 Scarlet Knights led the nation in scoring defense (7.6), total defense (179.2) and rushing defense (83.9), holding eight opponents under 10 points with four shutouts.
