Women’s Golf Opens Fall Campaign at Boilermaker Classic

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's golf opens the fall season at the Boilermaker Classic, held Aug. 31–Sept. 1 in West Lafayette, Indiana. The two-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by Purdue, takes place at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
Monday marks the first time in program history that the Scarlet Knights will compete in August, as well as their return to the Boilermaker Classic for the first time since 2023.

What to Know
- Grace Lu represented Rutgers at the 126th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, held Aug. 4-9 in Ooltewah, Tennessee. She was the first Scarlet Knight to qualify for the prestigious event since Leigha Devine did so in 2021 and 2022.
- Lu earned her spot at the championships by co-medaling at her June qualifier at Copper Hill Country Club. Her finish was one of many notable performances for RU during summer action on the amateur circuit.
- For the ninth time in 10 seasons, Rutgers was recognized for its outstanding work in the classroom with the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar Team GPA Award. The Scarlet Knights' 3.85 GPA in 2025-26 ranked in the top 20 in the country and was the second-highest team GPA in the Big Ten.
- Emily James, Krystal Li, Grace Lu, Elizabeth Ryu, and Joline Truong all earned 2026 WGCA All-America Scholar accolades. James, Li, Lu, Truong, and Lorena Rossettin all collected Big Ten Distinguished Scholar recognition, helping the Scarlet Knights to a 3.81 spring term GPA.
