Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision to No. 21 UC Santa Barbara

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Despite a close contest, Rutgers men's soccer (1-3-1) fell to No. 21 UC Santa Barbara (2-1-2), 1-0, on Monday night.
The teams played to a scoreless first half, with both sides recording three shots through the opening 45 minutes.
UC Santa Barbara broke through in the 70th minute, scoring on a long strike from outside the box. The Scarlet Knights continued to create opportunities down the stretch, outshooting the Gauchos, 7-4, in the second half, but were unable to find the equalizer as they fell, 1-0.
