Amadio On Choosing Rutgers: "I chose to spend my next four years at Rutgers University for many reasons, both academically and athletically. Rutgers is an R1 institution, making it the most suitable place for me to design and develop my engineering career. The support from Rutgers that joins the academic department and athletes is unparalleled to anything I've seen. Rutgers is an academically rigorous school, and I am looking forward to that challenge. I love the atmosphere that Coach Butler and her staff create for the softball program. The location of Rutgers is convenient because of its close proximity to New York City and to my home in Galloway, N.J., making it easy for my parents to drive up and catch some games. I especially love the resources and facilities offered by Rutgers and couldn't be happier with my future home.

Head Coach Kristen Butler on Amadio: "We are excited to welcome Allison to the Rutgers Softball family. She is the true definition of a student-athlete. Allison comes to us with experience behind the plate and will add great character to our team. She has experience behind the plate and demonstrates great leadership. Welcome to Rutgers Allison!"

Major: Mechanical Engineering
I chose my major because: From a young age I've always had an interest in engineering. At my high school, I participate in an engineering magnet program to get a head start on my career. Favorite place to hang out on campus: APC
The person I most admire is and why: I admire both of my parents the most because of their hard work and endless dedication to get me and my sister where we want to be. My dad has driven me thousands of hours to tournaments and practices across the country. My mother works as much as she can to help support me and the rest of my family through our heavy travel load. They dedicate so much time to me and I am very grateful.
If I wasn’t playing softball, I’d be: If I wasn't playing a sport, I would probably be doing music and schoolwork to keep busy. I'd still workout on my own time, but not as intensely as I do now. I used to play many instruments early on and loved it, but I loved softball more, so eventually I had to pick between the two. Favorite professional athlete::
