Chris Corso begins his fifth season in the Rutgers University Division of Athletics as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and is the primary athletic communications contact for the Scarlet Knights’ men’s basketball program in 2025-26. 

Corso joined the program in October of 2021. Corso is responsible for the content on Rutgers men’s basketball’s social media platforms and all of head coach Steve Pikiell’s media availability and players. Corso manages all online/written publications, appears as an on-air talent for the men’s basketball team, and has helped spearhead player-driven content within the program. Corso has taken on duties as an emcee in the arena for all home games and acts as the fill-in radio analyst for men's basketball broadcasts on WFAN. Corso managed the National Defensive Player of the Year and two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year campaigns for Caleb McConnell and the first All-American at Rutgers in 15 years in Ron Harper Jr. 

A Long Island, New York native, Corso spent seven seasons in the National Football League with the Minnesota Vikings as the Digital Media Coordinator and Producer. Corso managed communications, along with the direction of digital and radio content. During his time with the Vikings, he established relationships and helped create platforms for Vikings players, legends, coaches, and staff, along with the opening of U.S. Bank Stadium in 2016.

Corso graduated with a degree in sports journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he also completed internships with the New York Mets as a public relations intern, NHL.com as a website production intern, and ABC News as a sports production intern. Corso holds a master’s degree in communications and journalism innovation online at Syracuse's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Corso resides in Tinton Falls, N.J. with his wife, Nicole, his daughter Sophia, and their black lab, Georgie.
