The Scarlet Knights made history at the 2023 Big Ten Indoor Championships, claiming both the men’s and women’s long jump titles. Sincere Robinson took the top podium spot for the men, while Kristina Tossas captured gold for the women. It marked the second straight year that Rutgers held onto the indoor title after A’nan Bridgett was triumphant at the 2022 Big Ten Indoor Championships. Bridgett also won the 2022 outdoor title, earning All-America honors and his second trip to the NCAA Championships.

Robinson, a three-time All-American under Crawford’s guidance, captured the outdoor school record in 2023. For his efforts on the sideline, Crawford was named the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Regional Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year.

The Rutgers record holder in the indoor long jump, Crawford qualified for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials. In his bid to represent Team USA at the Tokyo Games, Crawford entered the competition with a top-10 mark in the world in the long jump.

A four-time All-American, Crawford is Rutgers most prolific long jumper in school history. In addition to his indoor and outdoor school records, he also holds the Busch Bubble facility long jump record.

Crawford was the 2014 national indoor runner-up in the long jump and placed sixth at the 2014 outdoor national championships in the event as well. He earned the IC4A Championship that same season en route to being named the USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Field Athlete of the Year (indoor and outdoor).

A Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient, he captured the Big Ten Championship in both the indoor and outdoor long jump during the 2015-16 season.

The New Jersey native returns for his second stint on staff, having been a volunteer coach for the Scarlet Knights in 2016-17. Following that season, he trained at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista from 2017-20.

While training at the center, Crawford coached for three years at Cuyamaca Community College, working with all jumpers and sprinters. His responsibilities included creating track and weight room specific programs for the athletes, as well as aiding in recruiting. Most recently, Crawford served as a coach and social media specialist at the Spire institute in Geneva, Ohio.

A 2016 graduate of Rutgers University, Crawford earned a bachelor's degree in journalism & media studies and a master's degree in labor and employment relations.
