Erica Kesseh joined the Rutgers Athletics strength and conditioning staff full-time in July of 2023 and begins her first season working alongside the Scarlet Knight volleyball and women’s golf programs.
Kesseh will be responsible for evaluating daily and weekly training for optimal athletic performance, coach speed development and oversee performance testing with sport technology and student-athlete monitoring.
Prior to arriving “On The Banks”, Kesseh spent three years with ETS Sports Performance in Minnesota rising up the ranks to assistant director. During her tenure, she developed specialized strength and nutrition programs for teams and individuals while collaborating with sport coaches, physical therapist and athletic trainers. She trained over 60 collegiate athletes at the Division I, II and III levels and served as head strength and conditioning coach at Lakeville North High School working alongside 11 athletic programs.
While an undergraduate, Kesseh interned in strength and conditioning at her alma mater, the University of Minnesota – Duluth, and was a coaching assistant at Burnsville Senior High School.
Kesseh received a BA in Exercise science from the University of Minnesota - Duluth and a Master’s of Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. As an undergraduate, Kesseh was a six-time all-conference sprinter and hurdler and two-time NCAA Division II provisional qualifier for the Bulldog track and field program. She was also the president and co-founder of the NAACP University Chapter at the University of Minnesota – Duluth.
