Erin Neri

Erin Neri begins her third year as Associate Director, Communications, serving as the primary contact for men’s soccer, women’s basketball and tennis.

A native of Nutley, New Jersey, Neri spent the previous two years at Towson University, where she worked with the Tigers’ women’s basketball, field hockey, women’s lacrosse, cross country/track & field and tennis programs. During her time at Towson, the women’s basketball program enjoyed one of its most successful season in school history, eclipsing 24 wins and earning its first WNIT bid since 1969.
Prior to Towson, Neri spent two years as the primary student contact for the nationally-ranked Penn State men’s tennis team in State College, Pennsylvania. In 2019, she saw the Nittany Lions earn their eighth NCAA Tournament appearance in school history and first since 2016. Neri also worked closely with other successful programs such as men’s and women’s ice hockey, football, men's lacrosse and women’s basketball. Before joining the Nittany Lions strategic communications department, Neri covered the Penn State men’s ice hockey and lacrosse teams for GoPSUsports.com as a blogger. Neri covered the hockey team’s run in both the 2018 Big Ten Tournament and NCAA Tournament. During the summer of 2019, Neri served as the Media Relations/Social Media intern for the Somerset Patriots, the now New York Yankees double-A affiliate in Bridgewater, New Jersey. She ran all social media accounts for the team as well as creating other original content.
Neri graduated from Penn State in 2020 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism along with minors in Political Science and Recreation, Parks and Tourism Management. She also earned certificates in Sports Journalism and Weather Forecasting.
