Rutgers Competes at ITA Regional Championships

BOSTON, MA – The Rutgers women’s tennis team competed at
the ITA Regional Champsionships, hosted by Harvard University, Friday, Oct.
25, participating in several qualifying rounds.
Junior Kaitlin Link (Ontario/Toronto, Canada) dropped her match to Massachusett’s Stephanie Price, 6-1, 6-0, in the first round.
The doubles team of senior Jennifer Hellier (Annapolis, MD) and freshman Ketevan Shmakova (Dover, NJ) fell to Kristine Bech-Holte and Trine Lise Juliessen of Syracuse, 8-3, eliminating them from the tournament.
Several members of the women’s team will continue play in the ITA tournament throughout the weekend.
