win at No. 1 singles over Victoria Beck, 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 10-8. At No. 2 singles it was Kerry Meath of Brown taking the win over RU's
Carissa Sommerlad (Bradley Beach, NJ), 6-1, 6-0. Jennifer Hellier
(Annapolis, MD) fell at the No. 3 spot, losing to Brown's Yelena Klurfeld,
6-3, 6-3. Alina Balasa (East Brunswick,
NJ) lost at the No. 4 position to Stephanie Falconi, 6-0, 6-1. No. 5 singles
saw Brown's Alex Arlak down Kaitlin Link (Ontario, Canada) of Rutgers,
6-0, 6-1. Ketevan Shmakova (Dover, NJ) fell to Kimberly Singer, 6-1, 6-3.
Weckstein and Sommerlad lost at No. 2 doubles to Meath and Arlak, 9-7. The No.
2 doubles team of Hellier and Shmakova fell to Beck and Falconi, 8-6. Brown
clinched the sweep with a 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles over Link and Balasa.
The Scarlet Knights will take a short break before returning to action on Wednesday, March 12, traveling to St. John's to face the Red Storm.
