PISCATAWAY, NJ – First-year Rutgers women’s tennis head coach Ben Bucca has been appointed to serve as a member of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Legislative Issues Committee. ITA, the governing body of collegiate tennis, works closely with the NCAA on several issues dealing with tennis in all its divisions.
With the appointment, Bucca will periodically help ITA in its on-going effort to review, write and report proactively to NCAA legislation to reflect its sport specific needs in all NCAA Divisions.
“I am honored and pleased with this appointment,” Bucca said. “This provides me with an opportunity to give back to college tennis in a number of different ways.”
Bucca took over as head coach of the Scarlet Knights beginning July 1. He
was promoted from assistant coach, following Marian Rosenwasser’s retirement
after 22 years as head coach of the program.
