Women's Tennis Falls at Virginia Tech, 6-1

BLACKSBURG, VA – Keteven Shmakova (Dover, NJ) was victorious at second singles, but Rutgers dropped a 6-1 decision to Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon in Blacksburg, VA.
The Scarlet Knights (8-7, 1-3 BIG EAST) were on the shot end of several close singles matches, including fourth singles and sixth singles. The Hokies won all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead into the singles matches.
Rutgers will look to rebound from its loss and split its two matches this weekend when it is back in action tomorrow, March 28, against Georgetown at 10:00 a.m.
