Women's Tennis Falls to Massachusetts, 6-1

BOCA RATON, FL – Despite a victory at fourth singles from senior Helen Magomedova (Brooklyn, NY), the Rutgers women’s tennis team (5-7) finished its spring break trip in Florida with a 6-1 loss to Massachusetts on Wedneday.
UMass captured the team doubles point when all three of its teams won by identical 8-4 scores. Rutgers attempted to rebound in singles action, but Massachusetts won at first, second and third singles, respectively, in straight sets.
Magomedova got Rutgers back on track with her 6-4, 6-1 triumph, but UMass won at fifth and sixth singles to wrap up the match.
The Scarlet Knights return to action on Wednesday, March 23, when they travel to Princeton for a 2:00 p.m. match against the Tigers.
