DeChristofano Picks up Two NY College Baseball League Honors

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers pitcher OJ DeChristofano (Pequannock, NJ) is enjoying a strong season with the Glens Falls Golden Eagles of the New York Collegiate Baseball League and recently earned two noteworthy distinctions. DeChristofano was named to the NYCBL Eastern Division All-Star Team and, on July 20, was honored as the league's Pitcher of the Week.
DeChristofano is 1-5 this season for the 13-27 Golden Eagles, but his one victory was an impressive one. On July 18, he fired a complete-game, two-hit shutout to beat Amsterdam, 1-0. In the game, DeChristofano allowed just two singles and two walks, while striking out six. He has worked 45.2 innings this summer, allowing just 39 hits, while striking out 49 against just 17 walks.
