Elder-Bush Named RU Women's Tennis MVP

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Sophomore Katrina Elder-Bush (Boston, MA) was named the Most Valuable Player of the Rutgers women’s tennis team at the annual postseason awards banquet last week.
Elder-Bush played first singles in all 24 Rutgers matches this spring and finished with a 14-10 record. She stepped into the RU lineup last year as a true freshman and won eight singles matches. Elder-Bush also rotated between second the third doubles this year to provide the Scarlet Knights with a formidable lineup.
Rutgers finished 14-10 overall this spring (8-4 BIG EAST) and earned a bid to the conference championships, were it defeated Marquette in the opening round, 4-3. The Scarlet Knights fell to eventual champion Notre Dame in the following round.
