Guthrie Receives BIG EAST Weekly Award

Piscataway, N.J. - Rutgers sophomore goalkeeper Erin Guthrie (Sparta, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for her work during the past week. Guthrie went 2-0 with wins over Bucknell and Monmouth to improve her overall record to 4-0. She allowed just one goal in a 2-1 win over Bucknell and then shut out Monmouth 1-0, her third clean-sheet of the season.
West Virginia sophomore Mallory Beck was named Goalkeeper of the week, while Marquette Goalie Laura Boyer and Louisville Goalie Joanna Haig both joined Guthrie on the Honor Roll.
The 12th ranked Scarlet Knights next play Friday, Sept. 14 at number three overall Santa Clara, before facing the top ranked Stanford Cardinals on Sunday.
